New Testament Scholar Bruce Metzger Dies at 93
February 14, 2007
Princeton Theological Seminary’s professor emeritus, Dr. Bruce Metzger, died at 93 yesterday. You can read more about Dr. Bruce Metzger here on the Princeton Seminary website’s announcement. For those who don’t know much about Metzger, you can check out his bio here on Wikipedia. He is probably most well-known for being the General Editor for [...]

(My friend Don…as Burt…!!!) Photo taken by Joshua Cleveland
There are days that I miss Princeton more than others. It’s been good to do a year away, and I’m really looking forward to going back next year. Today is one of those days when I really remember why Princeton Theological Seminary is so special. Today at [...]
Going to an “Ivy League” School
January 18, 2005
So, sometimes I think going to Princeton is pretty sweet. You know, sort of “Ivy League” and what not. And then there are other times when I’m like: “This school just does NOT get it.”
No wireless.
Waiting in line and getting registered for classes with a pencil.
Waiting for months (read=MONTHS!) before getting exams, papers and GRADES [...]

It’s pretty hard to choose which pictures to throw up out of the hundreds we took (thank you digital cameras!) but here are some fun/pretty ones. Enjoy. I may throw some more up later, but I have to study now!

Reading Week Begins…
October 24, 2004
Today was our first official day of reading week - get that! A whole week to simply read and get caught up on everything before midterms. Praise Jesus! We’re going to be here for most of the week and then next Wednesday-Friday, we have a group of around 10 people or so who are going [...]

Even though Tony Jones gives me crap about all my cafeteria posts - here is another along with this update. Life has been going very well recently. I’m very happy. I’m still trying to figure out how to get a sense of balance with schoolwork and all of that - but…it’ll come I think, I [...]

Eventually, I’ll get tired of posting work pictures. But this time it’s special. Josh decided we needed to spread the love around to our friend Guillermo, who works in the kitchen. He’s one of the hardest workers I’ve met, a hilarious guy, with a wonderful smile. Anyway, we really love him and many of the [...]

October 10, 2004
Whitworth College is the #1 feeder school for PTS. This is a fun/good thing, and…well, yah. Whitworth students definitely get put into a box (and there is a reason behind it) and many of them get labeled as being the very conservative Evangelicals, and people just assume stuff about you if you are from Whitworth. [...]

October 7, 2004
Nick, Jourdan and Adam. Wednesday Western Night. I was sitting at a table yesterday and someone asked, “So, these theme nights have been around for a long time?” And another girl who moved off-campus this year said to one of her friends: “I can’t believe they wait until I move off-campus to start up dinner [...]

[To borrow a phrase from the SNL Debate sketch from last Saturday]
One thing that I wanted to make sure when I came to Princeton was that my blog stayed active. Sorry. And I promised more theological posts to come. Sorry. As I sat in my Paradigms and Progress in Theology course today and listened to [...]
