Five Things I Dig About Jesus
July 9, 2007
So I’ve been tagged by Mark Smith to talk about the Five Things I Dig About Jesus. Below are the five things that I *currently* dig about Jesus, although these may change as I continue to grow and my beliefs continue to be formed by friends, experience, scripture and other sources.
Jesus cared for the marginalized, [...]

Question 2: What is Truth?
[One reminder - we are trying to stick with short, succinct responses to the questions. I understand that this one was a bit more difficult than "What is the gospel?", but the goal is to be able to give answers that are no longer than 3-5 sentences]
I honestly wasn’t too sure [...]

Question 1: What is the gospel?
Thank you for participating in the first question, “What is the gospel?” I think it turned out about as good as I was hoping - there were many different views shared, some conversation, and hopefully it made you stop and think for a few minutes about the good news of [...]
Jesus, the 33-yr old Virgin…
August 21, 2005
This is beautiful. I was chatting with my buddy Andrew tonight and he had some thoughts on Jesus and sex. So, his thoughts are below - but the above graphic work is of course his…and beautiful:
Everyone’s laughing about the freak who’s the 40-year-old virgin, and who doesn’t think he’s a freak. And yet, Christians worship [...]

So, I sinned this morning.
I know, I know. I hope some of you will keep coming back to this blog and reading it, but if you can’t handle being around with a sinner like me, I can understand. But, let me explain my situation.
This morning it was extremely hot, and too hot for the kids [...]
Walking in the footsteps of Jesus (and his sandals)
June 23, 2005
It’s fun to know you’re walking around the birthplace of Jesus. It’s also fun to wear Jesus sandals. This is my first pair - my uncle had a pair and I always thought they were so cool. So, here they are. My Jesus sandals…bought in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Why is this happening? We are changing from a Judeo-Christian culture to a Post-Christian culture. Dan read a quote from Reggie McNeal’s book “The Present Future” (who is from the Southern Baptist Convention) - acknowledgement of something changing in the world today.
We must see ourselves as missionaries vs. having an evangelism department or program (Judges [...]
No Outsiders
June 25, 2004
I loved a post on Rachelle’s blog, No Outsiders. No outsiders. A new friend and I have been emailing back and forth a bit about some various theology stuff, and have been talking about the great & wonderful inclusivity of God. Christ came and sought after, taught about and exemplified/[lived out] a very very wide [...]
