FTE

I do want to offer this correction from the comment below. According to this Open Letter from the Church Council at Riverside Church, Rev. Dr. Braxton’s total compensation was $460,000 – not $600,000. This is helpul information to have – though I think the underlying questions still pertain to the situation.

The Rev. Dr. Brad Braxton [...]

I’ve been spending this week with a group of young adults discerning calls to the ministry. They are Undergraduate Fellows, Congregational Fellows and Ministry Fellows with The Fund for Theological Education. Both Sarah and I were Ministry Fellows back in 2004-2005, and we actually met at the Summer Conference. I’ve been able to stay connected [...]

I’m here in Chicago, just checking my email, when I get an email from Neil Arner, a friend at Princeton, telling me that I’m famous. So I clicked on the link and ended up at the FTE Ejournal website, The Calling. So I go and check it out and their banner is totally a [...]

I have too much to say, and I have only had 2 beers, but I’m feeling like definitely just going to sleep right now.

Anna Aven) that Fuller’s library had wireless internet, so I tried to find it tonight to no avail. I finally was directed to a note on a whiteboard on the 4th [...]

Finally got to the Pasadena Hilton at 6pm, after a horrendous shuttle experience, but a wonderful conversation with a new friend, Susan, who will hopefully be checking out this blog and reading.
Had a welcome session tonight, and I realize that there are about 110 wonderfully creative, God-seeking young people who desire to enter into the [...]

Back and blogging

The roadtrip was a success and Josh and I arrived home last night. I’m up in Olympia running a few errands today and enjoying Caffe Vita and their free wifi. I’m not sure what I did before WiFi (that admittedly sounds pretty dramatic and pathetic, but I really do love the wifi). It’s a cool [...]

Just got the letter today that I’ve been accepted as a 2004 Ministry Fellow with The Fund for Theological Education (FTE). I’ll be going to the 2004 FTE Summer Conference on Excellence in Ministry held at Fuller June 16-20. Dr. Miroslav Volf from Yale and Dr. Robert Franklin from Candler School of Theology will be [...]
