Computer Update
October 18, 2007
So, what is my favorite part about when I have computer problems? The responses I get. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard in the past week, “Ooooh, what? Ooooh, I thought that didn’t happen to Macs….I thought they were p..e..r..f..e..c..t…!”
Yay, thank you. Anyway - FedEx came to deliver it to me yesterday [...]
Go Backup Now
October 11, 2007
Stop reading this post - right now. Stop. Get out your FireWire cord, your external hard drive, and start up whatever backup program you use. Back up your computer right now.
I’m pissed. I was just putting the final touches on a very nice, lengthy handout for my workshop at the Presbymergent Conference, when all of [...]
Damn.

Damn. These are just hot. The Nano, the Classic and a wifi iPod - iPod Touch. So now the question is - spend the $399 for the 8GB iPhone (price was dropped $200!) or spend $399 for a 16GB iPod Touch. Damn.

New Sadie Video: I put this together a few weeks ago; it’s not really amazing, but gives you a feel of what she’s like at the dog park.
five.sentenc.es: A friend of mine is apparently adhering to this idea. Basically, it’s a group of folks who are trying to keep their email responses to less than [...]
A Bittersweet Upgrade
July 1, 2007
I’ve had my black MacBook for a few days now, and I am really loving it. I thought I’d share some of my thoughts, briefly, on my move from my 12″ PowerBook to the MacBook.
I like…
The Speed: It is fast. And I mean, really, really fast. I love it. Photoshop (CS3) opens right up. [...]

June 23, 2007
The decision has been made. And perhaps it is fitting that I ordered a black computer; fitting because of the grief that has enveloped me these past few weeks as I’ve realized I needed to replace my 12″ PowerBook. It’s still working fine - but I don’t want to be working on it without Applecare, [...]

March 3, 2007
I just recently ran across iBoughtAMac (iBAM) via my friend Wess. They’re doing an iPod Shuffle Giveaway on the blog, and so I thought I’d review the site and get my name entered into the contest (you know, I do love contests).
The nice thing about iBAM is that the site appeals to a diverse audience. [...]
An Open Letter to Steve Jobs
February 21, 2007
Dear Steve,
So, I’ve heard the rumors. Well, I’ve heard many rumors - and just recently heard that you’re possibly going to roll out a 15" MacBook in the 2nd Quarter of 2007?
Why?
I mean, I guess I can understand that some users of the MacBook might want a slightly larger screen than the 13" - I [...]

There are many places you can find predictions, but the place to watch during the Keynote address is MacRumorsLive.com - they will be having up-to-the-minute coverage and photos. I’ll watch the video of the keynote later today, [...]

December 19, 2006
Ever since I got my PowerBook, I’ve been a bit of a Mac-evangelist. And my parents’ old Dell desktop running Windows ‘98 was just not cutting it anymore. So last night, after a glorious performance of Handel’s Messiah, we went to the Apple Store in Oregon (no sales tax!) and my parents bought a MacBook. [...]
