Transitions and Blogging
July 21, 2008
I realize my blog has been pretty quiet recently. As Josh attested to (he’s also a part-time specialist at Apple), transitioning into a new job at Apple tends to cut down on the blogging. Just over a week ago, I started work at the Apple Store as a part-time specialist. Because of our company policy, [...]

July 10, 2008
If you’re an AT&T customer who is not eligible for a phone upgrade right now, and could potentially be stuck being asked to pay $200 more than other folks for an iPhone this Friday, a friend just sent me this link to a hack that seems like it must work. Here is the paragraph from [...]

Disclaimer: I’m not entirely sure what I’ll be able to write about Apple once I am officially hired to be a Specialist at the Apple Store in Emeryville on Monday, so I thought I’d post this now. Please keep in mind that I am a huge Apple fan and it will take a lot for [...]

Sarah tells the story very well here (and yes, it appears she may be blogging again…), but we are in La Misión, Mexico right now. We came down at the invitation of our friend Erin, who we got to know better at GA last week in San Jose. We’ve basically been spending the days reading, [...]

A few friends and I listened to Steve Jobs’s 2008 MacWorld Keynote earlier today (we actually found someone who was broadcasting the audio online). I was very excited for this, as we were hopefully going to be introduced to the rumored MacBook Air.

Well, it came true and the above photo is of the [...]
MacWorld Keynote
January 12, 2008
Steve Jobs’s 2008 MacWorld San Francisco Keynote address is just hour away now. It will take place at 9am Pacific on Tuesday, January 15th. I don’t know if anyone else is as excited about this keynote as I am, but Andrew just sent me a link to some pretty good predictions from Gizmodo. The thing [...]

I got Leopard this morning from FedEx and got it up and running this afternoon. After a 40min Archive and Install, Leopard was running beautifully on my MacBook with no problems at all. Spent some time playing around with the features, and I’m really loving it. Things I love most right [...]
Computer Update
October 18, 2007
So, what is my favorite part about when I have computer problems? The responses I get. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard in the past week, “Ooooh, what? Ooooh, I thought that didn’t happen to Macs….I thought they were p..e..r..f..e..c..t…!”
Yay, thank you. Anyway - FedEx came to deliver it to me yesterday [...]
Go Backup Now
October 11, 2007
Stop reading this post - right now. Stop. Get out your FireWire cord, your external hard drive, and start up whatever backup program you use. Back up your computer right now.
I’m pissed. I was just putting the final touches on a very nice, lengthy handout for my workshop at the Presbymergent Conference, when all of [...]
Damn.
September 5, 2007
Damn. These are just hot. The Nano, the Classic and a wifi iPod - iPod Touch. So now the question is - spend the $399 for the 8GB iPhone (price was dropped $200!) or spend $399 for a 16GB iPod Touch. Damn.
