Lent Photo-a-Day: Rise

IMG_1005

Similar to yesterday’s photo, there are things around in this world that have continued to rise in the past week or so. Life springs forth from where there was no life. A future is found where there was no future before. Obviously, as we get close to Palm Sunday, Holy Week and thinking about dying and rising and new life, it’s helpful to have these reminders, even yet, that hope is present.

And I should mention that I used the Rise filter in Instagram on this photo.

Lent Photo-a-Day: New

New

Something new in our backyard. Signs of spring. Signs of new life. Signs of new things to come. I love this time of the year, and the hope that it brings with it.

Lent Photo-a-Day: Surround

Surround

As frustrating as it can be sometimes, and as much as Presbytery is really not my favorite place to be, I do find that I enjoy surrounding myself with some of these folks from the Presbytery. Most of the stuff that I enjoy most at Presbytery happens in bars and restaurants on dinner breaks and after the evening business has ended. And this past weekend was confirmation of that again. I had some great conversations with new and old friends, and got to reflect on ministry and life with some really good people.
