Super Size Me

Date August 18, 2004

I saw Super Size Me a few nights ago…and unfortunately, I’m really not going to want to eat fast food ever again…at least for a week. I haven’t laughed so hard in such a long time as I did throughout this movie…it was great. I remember one night this past spring when I was sitting [...]

A Classic…

Date August 12, 2004

My dad works in cubicles. Both he and my mom love this movie - they watched it tonight and last night…the first time I saw it, I thought it was stupid (but I was…yah, I’d had a few too many drinks that night and it just didn’t make any sense) - but since then…ummm, yah. [...]

Saved! Vol 2.

Date July 28, 2004

I went and saw Saved! again a few nights ago with my friend Beth (here are my thoughts from the first time), as it was playing at a very cool theatre/bar in Centralia, the Oly Club. The second time was even better - I laughed more and found more scenes to be fairly impacting. When [...]

Saved!

Date July 14, 2004

Date May 31, 2004

Had to choose between Shrek 2 and Raising Helen last night. I chose Raising Helen (although I know I still *need* to see Shrek 2). I loved it (and not *just* because of Kate Hudson - although I am definitely considering becoming a Lutheran instead…it must be the clerical collar that got her). What a [...]

High Fidelity

Date April 26, 2004

Bought High Fidelity on DVD last night at Wal*Mart, after getting into a noodle fight with one of my students. I love this movie. So many great quotes from it. My three favorite are below [my favorite is the last quote]:
“I can see now I never really committed to Laura. I always had one foot [...]

The Passion Triggers Questions…

Date February 26, 2004

Just got back from The Passion of the Christ. Expected to see a few more blog entries in blogdom about it, but maybe it’s already been talked about too much. Sat next to a woman who said, “You can sit here, be a part of our family. I mean, we are all one big family [...]

Real World :: San Diego

Date January 15, 2004

Okay - so, that picture up there almost looked like Real World Chicago, or was it Vegas, or…wait, don’t they always get naked, drunk and get into a hot tub? Come now - Jon, the Christian country-singer [Season 2] would never have done that!
But, I have a problem. Yes, a problem. Time for another confession [...]
