What!? You’re not using condoms?

Well – I promised you one more “bonus” post in my series of “What!? You’re not using…?” And so here is today’s last bonus post, “What!? You’re not using condoms?

What!? You’re not using Preview?

This post is part of a technology series called “What?! You’re not using…?” where I’m sharing ten technology sites/apps that I find to be very helpful – and you might too!

This last one is specifically for Mac users – but it’s only been recently that I found out how awesome the Preview app is. Preview is the default app for the Mac that opens up images and PDFs. Before I never really used it very much, but there are a lot of very cool ways you can use Preview.

What!? You’re not using VisualHub?

This post is part of a technology series called “What?! You’re not using…?” where I’m sharing ten technology sites/apps that I find to be very helpful – and you might too!

Awhile ago I found out about a little program called VisualHub. As I’ve been starting to work more with video downloads, etc., I’ve found VisualHub to be a super helpful program. Basically – it will take any video format you have, and convert it into any other format. Just the other day, someone sent me a Windows Media Video file, and in less than a minute, I was able to convert it to an .mp4 file that I could play from my iPhone.

The only catch is that the program is no longer being sold and it takes some searching around online to find a download for it. You can probably find a copy by googling something like “Download VisualHub Mac” or something like that.

But once you can find a copy, it’s a great program to have around.

That’s probably not the typical message that you would assume to hear on Pentecost Sunday. Maybe it would be something about the power of the Holy Spirit, maybe talking about the tongues of fire resting on people’s heads, or maybe we’d take a step back and talk about the Body of Christ, and how the Spirit has given us all different and unique gifts, and how we should all use our gifts together for the betterment of the Body of Christ.

And we may touch on some of that this morning – but when I read these two passages – and when I watched the video that we started the service with – it’s hard to not agree that the Holy Spirit shows up and creates problems.
