Sarah and I have big plans for Christmas. We’re going to get lost in Lost.
Okay, I know that was cheesy, but that’s our plan. We had many invitations from really wonderful folks in our congregation, and from some friends in the area, to spend Christmas with them and their families. And while we would have had a great time with any of them, we’ve decided to lay low this Christmas season.
I’m not sure exactly what Christmas is going to be like, but I’m guessing that it’s going to be hard. Hard with the expectations that we were going to be very pregnant at this point in the year. Hard because we are getting just that much closer to our due date, and the day in which we were going to begin our lives with Micah and Judah.
So – we’re going to watch LOST instead of going out much. We’ve already seen the entire series, but we’re both into it enough to give it a straight-through watch and see what it’s like to just get lost in the story, the mystery, the polar bears, the characters and everything else. If we watched it straight through without eating, sleeping or going to the bathroom, it would take about 91 hours. But, we’re interested in eating, sleeping AND going to the bathroom, so it will take us a little longer. I fly out to Montreat on December 30, so that’s the deadline. We started with the Pilot tonight…wish us luck.
I’ll be live-tweeting the series…and attempting to be funny. But if you ask Sarah, that means it won’t really be funny. However, I’ll be doing my best. You can follow me at @adamwc on Twitter.
