Chris Pearson’s Thesis WordPress Theme

in Design, Technology

I think I finally found a theme that I am really liking for pomomusings: Chris Pearson’s Thesis. There are a ton of options for setting it up and customizing it – though it takes some getting used to compared to most other themes that I’ve used before. But after about an hour or so playing with it last night, I feel like I’m pretty happy with what I was able to figure out.

So as you can see, I’ve slimmed down the sidebar content with the hopes of getting to be cleaner and simpler. But I would love to know what everyone thinks? Is there anything here that you miss from the previous design? What do you like better about this? Is there anything you don’t like? (And yes, I know my Archives page is a little messed up right now – still have to fix that). I’d love your feedback – so let me know. Thanks!

Nice look!

I’ve always wanted a hybrid blog / forum – a “Blorum”. Blog posts would be chronological, but, after a day or two, a new comment would pop the thread up higher. There would be some form of indexing in the side column, and, of course, it would be possible for commenters to edit their posts. Even only for a day or two.

I’m a big fan of the look. I’m curious if after the fact, you still think it’s worth the cost?

@Joshua K. – yah, it was a little money – but I think it’s a really great theme. And I have a web design business, so I get to write-off the expense…so…it all evens out. And in one month the site is paid for via the ads on my site.

So, I’m just looking forward to being able to hopefully use this theme for future projects. It is a really great framework, for sure.

nice look, though it feels a bit less customized than your previous layout. perhaps a custom logo at the top of the page would fix that?

Well, I like it but it doesn’t all fit on my screen all at once anymore – sort of odd – don’t hink I have this problem with the other blogs I read regularly.
