Message from Aaron Reibe’s Mother
February 14, 2008
I received an email today from Aaron Reibe’s mother, and she said I could share it with you all. Thanks again for everyone who has prayed for Aaron and donated on this blog. As we thought, with the private matching donors, we were able to raise over $8600 on this blog. That’s amazing and more than I ever thought we could do. So, thanks so much. Below is the message from Aaron’s mother:
Tags: Aaron Reibe, Cancer, Fundraising, PMPGod has been with us through this ordeal. He has been holding our family and putting people in our path we needed. One of those is you and your blog readers. Thank you again for your prayer, financial and emotional support.
With the matching funds, your blog - pomomusings - raised $8,627.10. God is good.
Aaron is recovering at home. He eats small meals, but can eat most anything. His biggest issue now is his left thumb and two fingers, forearm and right thumb have been tingling. Now they are sensitive to touch and often have sharp pains. The doctors feel it is from being in one position for the 15-hour surgery. The pain is the nerves coming back to full function.

HI! In case Aaron Reibe needs survivors of the same case to share his journey with or ask questions to, he may get in touch with me at ccmondejar@yahoo.com. I’m from the Philippines. I was diagnosed with mucinous adenocarcinoma of the appendix with peritoneal carcinomatosis. I too went through the extensive surgery done by Dr. Sardi. A number of organs have been removed and I’m wearing an ileostomy bag. This is for the rest of my life since I don’t have large intestines anymore. I am willing to listen and give him moral support.
