Aaron Reibe Cancer Fund Total

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Aaron Reibe Cancer Fund on pomomusings over the past month. From January 3-31, 39 people donated to this fund, and we raised a total of $2875.70. This is more than I had ever imagined being able to raise, and I want to thank you so much for all of your help. Two private donors are matching money raised through fund raising, and this will bring our total raised to $8627.10! These are the types of things that make me increasingly committed to the idea of blogging and the type of community and good that can come out of it.

The above photo was taken when Aaron was in the hospital. He has since flown back to Washington state with his mother and is doing very well. This is an update from his sister, Nicole:

Aaron is healing really well. He is up walking, cooking a little, and can eat most foods. He can only eat a little amount because his stomach is really small now and his system is still adjusting.

After Aaron has recovered from surgery, he will have to undergo chemo for 6 months (he would get treatment every three weeks). The chemo is really just a precaution. He will also be getting scans every three months to check for regrowth.

Thank you all for your payers, kind words, and support. God has been so great to us throughout this whole experience.
