Songza
January 10, 2008

A friend pointed me to Songza, a music search engine and internet jukebox. It’s a bit like Pandora, in that you can listen to music online and create your own playlists. And it’s a bit like Google because you type in any song and it pulls it up for you and starts playing it. I found some great stuff, including En Vogue’s “Free Your Mind” (a video on MTV I used to always watch when I was 12…no need to read into that). Songza is a really sweet interface. When you find a song you click on it and it gives you options to either Play the song, Rate the song, Add it to your playlist or Share it. The Share option lets you Send to a Friend, Link to the Song (as I did with the link to “Free Your Mind”), Embed it onto your site or Watch it on YouTube (which of course, took me back to being 12).
Anyway, go check it out and enjoy.
