J. Wentzel van Huyssteen

Wentzel van Huyssteen is now blogging at vanhuyssteen.org. van Huyssteen is a professor of theology and science at Princeton Theological Seminary, one of the kindest professors at the seminary, in addition to being one of the “hippest.” From his black leather attire, to his appearance at various seminarian gatherings, his presence at the seminary is appreciated by all. During my very first semester of seminary, I took his “Paradigms and Progress in Theology” and loved it. van Huyssteen delivered the Gifford lectures in 2004; a lecture series that has featured some real theological rockstars: William James, James Dewey, Karl Barth and Albert Schweitzer. He was also the winner of the Andrew Murray-Desmond Tutu Prize.

van Huyssteen would love for you to check out his blog, read his new essay on Wagner and check back often. If you feel so inclined, leave a comment on his site so that he can get a sense for how many folks might be reading his blog. It may encourage him to post more often! Let’s help a brother out and get him on his way to becoming a theo-blog-ian!
