Magic in Miller Chapel
December 14, 2007

This morning I preached in Miller Chapel. I will write more about it later, but I wanted to let those of you who wanted to hear it have that chance. I have a DVD of the service that turned out really well. Right now I’m just trying to figure out how to get it online. As of now, I have a .MP4 file of the service that is 440mb, so I’m trying to get it smaller and up on YouTube or something.
I was very nervous before the service, but once it started, I felt much better. You can look at the Chapel Bulletin here and you can read the sermon here. The audio file of the service is below. It’s the whole service (37 minutes), but if you just want to hear the sermon, it starts around the 10-min marker.

I can’t believe it was 10 years ago I did the same thing and without the center pulpit. All I got was a frick’n cassette tape. I have no clue where it went. Very nicely done.

I loved listening to this tonight, Adam! Thank you.

I haven’t checked out your service yet, but I will. It was the Second or Third Sunday of Advent in ‘91 that I did my sermon in Miller Chapel. The pulpit was on the side then, but seeing you there brings back memories! I don’t even think I got a cassette tape…

What a delightful sermon and profound reminder of where the real miracle resides in all that we celebrate at this time of year. Thanks so much for the gift Adam!

Hey, Adam (first-time commenter here)
Good thoughts in your talk. Thanks for sharing that with everybody.
On more of a “techy” note, with regard to your video upload I thought I’d throw out a plug for Vimeo [which I'm sure you're probably familiar with]. I’m a big fan of their clean interface (in contrast to YouTube), and they have a free weekly upload capacity of 500MB. That way you could potentially just upload your .mp4 file and preserve your current resolution. Just a thought…
Keep the posts comin’.

Hey Adam, Thanks for posting the sermon. I enjoyed listening and reading it at the same time.
