Wicked Tickets: Finally

in General

Sarah and I have tried for the Wicked Ticket Lottery 3 times, and lost each time. I’ve tried one other time in addition to that – and lost. So finally, we gave up. I’d rather if the title of this post meant that we had indeed, successfully won tickets in the lottery, but…we decided it just wasn’t going to happen for us.

So we purchased tickets, and on January 30th, 2008, Sarah and I will get a taste of the magic that is Wicked: The Musical.

Hey there!

Wicked was the one broadway show Troy and I were able to sneak away and go to before we had two kiddos. It’s definitely worth the money. I’m not a huge “musical” person but Wicked was fun and inventive.

Have you seen Avenue Q? That was the other one we really wanted to see but didn’t have time or cash for both.

Post in January a review ;-) Oh and if you need a good rec. for a restaurant, we went to a neat hole in the wall Thai restaurant close to the theater and had a great dinner for under $20! Can’t remember the name of the place off the top of my head, but if you’re interested I can track it down

I got the Wicked soundtrack about the same time that I started coming out to myself and to other people. Several of Elphaba’s songs became anthems for me during that time, especially “Defying Gravity” and “I’m not that girl.”

I listened to them all the time. Probably annoyed the hell out of Sarah.
