Pomomusings Represents Princeton Theological Seminary

Date October 18, 2007

I know some professors who read this blog quite often, and I’ve even been told by President Iain Torrance, that he reads it from time to time. I also know that some staff/administrators at Princeton Seminary haven’t been the biggest fans of my blog from time to time. So, I find it quite amusing that half of my face is now representing Princeton Theological Seminary. You can click on the above photo to see the Christian Century page that the ad was found in.

    I’m curious. Why wouldn’t some staff/administrators be thrilled with your blog?

    Wow that is a lot of Princeton name dropping.

    at least they could do is balance your face out with the girl on the right. you take up the whole box while she hangs on a sliver. and there is a lot of black space in the middle for that little bit of text.

    am i being too “design” snarky?

    It does make AWC’s head look enormous, comparitively.

    Adam how does it feel to be the poster child of: “where tradition empowers for the future?”

    Why do not the Princeton Prof’s not like your blog? Too PO-MO?

    @Taylor & @Jeremy: It probably has to do with posts like this - posts that give a look into some aspects of seminary life (aka the seminary parties that some administrators would like to pretend don’t exist here…)

    More stuff like that - and also, I have tended to be critical of the seminary on my blog when I’ve felt that it was needed - Princeton doesn’t like critique.

    @Nicholas - I don’t know how I feel having you say I have a big head….

    @Mykel - exactly - I don’t see myself getting any money out of this deal.

    Funny stuff. I’ll have to fill you in on my musings from the other presbyterian seminary missing a U and S.

    Well, you and Kimmy look fabulous, :-) but I agree with a previous poster that Princeton’s design dept has…well…some issues. I don’t know how many times we’d get a proof back for something and I thought to myself “If I saw this poster on campus would I/could I read it?….Um, no.”

    Wow, too bad they used that half of your face.
