Vienna Teng & Suzanne Vega at Xponential Music Festival

Vienna Teng

Sarah and I spend Sunday evening at the Xponential Music Festival on the Camden Waterfront. Sarah got some free tickets from her boss at the seminary, and we were able to enjoy a beautiful evening on the waterfront in Camden. We saw The Smithereens, Blackthorn and Marc Broussard. However, I enjoyed Suzanne Vega (the headliner), and really enjoyed Vienna Teng. If you want to see a short video clip of one of Vienna Teng’s songs, click here.

It was a fun evening and nice to just get away from the Princeton area (especially if it was to go to Camden!!). What we didn’t know was that right next to the music festival we were at was the arena where Toby Keith was performing that evening. So we got a nice chance to check out, observe (and park next to) some pretty amazing hicks and cowboys/cowgirls from South Jersey. Quite the crew…

If you want to check out some more of Suzanne Vega’s music (including her classic “Tom’s Diner”) click here to download a zipped file of 3 songs. Likewise, you can download 4 of Vienna Teng’s songs here. Also, to see a few photos from the night, check out these. Finally, if you want to hear one of my favorite Vienna Teng songs, check out the player below. Enjoy.

Jordan and I had a good time on Saturday. I wish I could have swapped your Suzanne Vega for our Los Lonely Boys, though.
