Yes. Ship a dryer to Glasgow and Moscow. Uh-huh. This one is even better though:

Hello,
I so much have interest in this item and I am pleased with the quoted price.

This item will be sent directly to my girlfriend in London,United Kingdom and I will be using my UPS account to pick-up the item from your address to her here in London,United Kingdom.

I want to bring it to your notice that I am located in London,United Kingdom BUT I have a friend who lives in the United States. He owes me some money which he would like to return to me here in London but I want to request that he should send you the Money in form of Money Order since I cannot cash a US Money Order here in London,UK. Okay?

SInce I already promised my girlfriend that I would like to send her some money this week via Western Union in order to pay for her Tuition at the London Metropolitan University.

I WANT to request from my DEBTOR to issue all the money he owes me inform of Money Order in YOUR NAME so that you can have the money order cashed , deduct funds for the sales of your ITEM and SEND the rest of the money to my girlfriend in London,United Kingdom.

I know this is kind of odd or weird BUT we have so much interest in this item and I cannot afford to miss the chance, moreso,I cannot send money to you directly from UK here since I do not have enough cash with me.Please understand my plight/predicament.

I would like to ask you few questions before we proceed :

*** Can I trust you with the extra money coming to your address ?

*** Do you have any Western Union location around you where you could have the extra money sent to my girlfriend after you might have deducted funds for the sales of your item ?

*** Will you be able to send her the money via Western Union and the purchased item using my UPS account same day you recieve the payment ?

If you wish to help us and willing to be faithful with me,kindly send me:

(1) YOUR NAME
(2) YOUR ADDRESS or MAILING ADDRESS in order to have the info forwarded to my DEBTOR for immediate payment issuance TODAY.

Thanks so much and God bless you.

Regards,

This type of stuff gets sent to most of the classifieds sites. I run an automotive classifieds, I have clients forwarding emails like this to me all the time.

It’s always the same, I’ll buy your item (in my case a car) with out seeing it and at your full price. But I need to sent you more money than you are asking for (you look so trustworthy in your ad :) ). Please sent the extra to ……. In my case they normally say it the automotive shipper.

Most of the emails I get from are from skeptical clients, but they are considering trying it (if the bank clears the money order I’m alright right? WRONG!)

I’m having a lot of trouble with my room for rent ad on Craigslist. Three months ago, I posted a roommate ad, had no spam, and found a renter quickly. Now I have gotten a barrage of ridiculous e-mails about these rich-sounding tenants who are desperate to get a room in my tiny rural college town in the middle of nowhere. Veterinary student from London, investment bankers from Belgium and “West Africa,” and now a conference promoter. Of course none of these people can write English worth a darn, even the one from Belgium who claimed to have been “raised in the united state” but talked about going to the “cinema house” as a major hobby. I’ve been forwarding all this to CL but don’t know if it will do any good.

Like everyone else, I have gotten a blitz of insanely ridiculous emails from Craig’s List in response to my resume posting. Same as the above jobs I would classify as scams from the UK and HK (mostly). That said however, I got FAR more spam from the big job boards like Monster and Careerbuilder. The spammers just have nothing better to do, I surmise.

Hello everyone,
I was selling an Lap-Top on Craig’s list this weekend and my ad was attacked by SPAM/Fraud, I design a website that creates a list of
SPAMMERS/fraudulent email accounts, the website is: http://www.whoisemailingme.com

Before you reply to an email, you can make sure it is a Trusted accounted. You can search, add and report SPAM on this site for FREE.
Add that sender to our website— you can save others time, money and stress
