Books, books, books.

While I can’t necessarily compete with Marko’s Christmas gifts, I did pretty well. Got some new pants ($10/pair at Gap Outlet), some extremely comfortable slippers (with memory foam!) and some cash. Sarah and I received some items still needed off our registry and we treated ourselves to new luggage (yup, using Christmas money for luggage…I think this means I’m married!). But Sarah and I both asked for books…made Amazon.com wishlists, and…well as you can see…we did fairly well in the book department. The books above are ones that both Sarah and I received…looks like we have quite a lot of reading in store for us…I’ll be starting off first with David James Duncan’s My Story as Told by Water.

Congrats on the books! I noticed Ivan Doig’s House of Sky. Cool book from my home state of Montana. Happy New Year and great blog. I appreciate all the good website wisdom.

It looks like you did better than I did. But it seems like you usually do.
God, I’m depressed.
