Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Solstice, Happy Kwanzaa and Happy Holidays! Sarah and I spent a week with my folks back in Washington and now we’re celebrating Christmas with the Walker clan in Rochester. Things will most likely be quiet here on the blog until the first of the year, while I think about what I want to write about and figure out where this blog is going to be hosted (I’m still debating between DreamHost and Media Temple’s Grid-Server Hosting. At any rate, please change all links and bookmarks from cleave.blogs.com to pomomusings.com, as that will be where the blog will be located. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

If you’re still looking for potential blog topics for next year, here’s one: I’m interested in your selection process for webhosting. I checked out dreamhost, and it looks better than what I use (webhost4life), plus they’re running Apache on a Linux server (which, to me, means they’re opensource friendly).
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas! I definitely recommend Dreamhost… have had a year of successful hosting with them.
Why mention this “Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Solstice, Happy Kwanzaa and Happy Holidays!” When it is Merry Christmas. It reminds me of Happy Christmahanusolstikwanzadays. At some point the PC gets ridiculous. Also to include Solstice a pagan Holiday that actually goes against Christmas is even more ridiculous coming from someone who says he is a Christian.
DH,
Jesus was not even born during this time of year an dmuch of what our society celebrates as Christmas is pagan, so jut be kind and get over yourself and don’t pick on Adam. If you call yourself a Christain, then don’t always pick at someone! And there are other holidays at this time of year. I think Adam did nothing wrong or un-Christian.
Hope you had a MERRY CHRISTMAS, DH and wishing you a Happy New Year. Oh, sorry, it that’s not Christian, as i was only trying to ne kind.
Pax,
Adele
Well just because we don’t know the exact time Jesus was born doesn’t change the fact that Christmas is the celebration of Jesus’s birth. I was only pointing out Solstice which is pagan Holiday and very much anti-Christian. I’m not picking at him I’m just pointing out how un-Christian it is to include Solstice in the mix. He could of not stirred the pot and just say “Happy Holidays” with the Merry Christmas and I would like that better. But to mention each and every Holiday and include a few that are anti-Christian Holidays I thought was a little much. This isn’t myself saying this but many people are growing tired of the PC thing and people need to get over themselves and just say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays and be done with it. Maybe you need to get over yourself on many issues that you disagree with. It goes both ways on that one Mr. Existential.
Mr. Existential, do you think “Happy Christmahanusolstikwanzadays is a funny term for this season? I sure do and it has nothing to do with picking at Adam. I would be interested in the answer to this question I have toward you.
DH,
First off, i am a MS. And i have no problems with wha Adam said b/c this is a time of year when there are different holidays. Being i come from a Jewish family, they celebrated Hanukkah. and not Xmas. i did celebrate xmas b/c my mom is protestant. We would say Merry Xmas and Happy Hanukkah. I think Jesus would rather us celebrate our differences that argue.
Peace and Happy New Year, or is this pagan too? Jesus did not speak of it in the Bible, so maybe it is? ;)
Take care, DH! Blessings to you!
