Scoff if you will, but…Evanescence is back
September 13, 2006

Scoff if you will. And I know you will. You know who you are. You music snobs out there; and no worries, many of you are my friends. You who scoff at all things ‘mainstream.’ But, whatever. I’m happy that Evanescence is back. I was into them before most people first heard "Bring Me to Life" on the Top 40 station. I even rode the "Evanescence craze" long enough to buy one of their earlier albums and sell it to a guy in Germany for $250 (ha!). I won tickets off a Boise radio station and got to see them at The Big Easy in downtown Boise and loved every minute of Amy Lee and her Goth-self. So yes, I pre-ordered the CD. I’m not so sure about the Single, "Call Me When You’re Sober" - it doesn’t do it for me like "Bring Me to Life" did it for me (and yes, you KNOW that song did it for you too). But I’m optimistic.

at least you’re being honest. and if i was going to think about being honest, i’d have to start with a group called the goo goo dolls.

It’s pretty gutsy to buy a cd without hearing it first. I never do that because I used to buy cds like that and I’d only like maybe one song, if I was lucky.

as long as you don’t sport eye-liner while attending one of their concerts, you’re still in the clear.

Hello. My name is Angela-Eloise. I like Evanescence. Dude, if it weren’t for them, I would never have made it through the break-up of my engagement. This is serious attitude music. Nowadays it’s all about the iPod - if the new “album” is on iTunes then I will download it happily.

The album is Amazing!!!! A masterpiece!! It’s very experimental and Less commercial than Fallen, so if you’re expecting Fallen 2 you might be bit disappointed. The whole aura of the album is just mix,yet dark, mournful but hopeful and happy at the same time. Highlights: Weight of the World, Lithium, Lacrymosa, Like You, The Only One, Your Star and Good Enough. Best song on the album: all of them.
