Another “puke-in-your-mouth” Post
September 27, 2005

[Some of you may be wondering about the title of this post. Well, it was brought to my attention that many of my friends here at Princeton referred to this post as one that made them "puke in their mouth." Something about it being too gushy, too cheesy, etc. So, this post is dedicated to all of you "bro-that-was-a-puke-in-your-mouth-post" PTS friends out there.]

Sarah spent the weekend visiting up here in Princeton and we had a great time. We had a nice little pizza party with friends, went to the 2nd Brown Party, walked around the Princeton University campus, saw the University Chapel, got ice-cream at Thomas Sweets in Princeton and spent a day in NYC. We met up with one of Sarah’s good friends in the early afternoon and then hung out in Central Park for awhile, got tickets to RENT (Rent is NOT lame, although we will be going back to see Wicked! sometime), saw the WTC site, ate a hot dog from a street vendor, walked around a lot, had dinner at McDonald’s in Times Square and had a great time.
The weekend was good - it was good for us to be together again, talk through some future-life stuff and continue in the life-long process of learning how to be with one another, love one another and communicate with each other. I could go on but then it would really be classified as a “puke-in-your-mouth” post, and we wouldn’t want that. At any rate, it was great to be able to spend the weekend with Sarah, and once again, like in all long-distance relationships, the countdown begins again (27 days), until I head down to Columbia for a week.

My sister and I saw Rent Saturday night, and we didn’t think it was lame either. Small world, eh? You could have run into Mark and I in central park.

After the “puke-in-your-mouth” conversation I was reminded of the David LaMotte song, “Stupid in Love”. Since you mention it again I thought I’d share.
Perhaps you two should make it your song…
“We went to the ocean,
we played in the water
We walked along the sand
And we went out to dinner
and sipped champagne
And completely ignored the band
And you looked in my eyes
and told me you loved me
And reached out to touch my hand
And that’s when the waiter dropped our food
And ran for the nearest trashcan”

Well Adam I wasn’t going to say anything but I think you have filled Andrew Z “30 seconds of cheese” You have filled it with “1 minute and 6 seconds of cheese” Thanks again. Now I have to go brush my teeth again.
Have a good day! :)

Well, just wanted to drop a little word of congratulations. Stumbled upon your blog after quite a while and just noticed. Somehow when I met you guys at the emergent conference I figured you’d get engaged sooner than later.
Oh, and you should sell your pictures to the picture frame companies. Your pictures have “came with the frame or wallet” written all over them. That’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Later. Have fun.
