On Having a Black Tongue…

Date July 20, 2005

I have a black tongue. I’d really rather not, but when you are popping Pepto-Bismol (they actually have a pretty cool site - it’s very pink) caplets every day, sometimes 4 caplets/day to keep yourself from having too many ‘problems’ - you have to deal with a black tongue. My stomach is telling me to go home. I feel like my stomach can only handle living abroad for so long…So, if any of you are the types who are inclined to shoot up prayers every now and then, one or two for my stomach would be much-appreciated. Well, 13 days until I go home (and only 19 till I see Sarah…I mean, not that anyone is counting or anything)…

Hey…got your email…and will be responding later today. Black tongue, huh? …need to clean that up for kissing the lady on the 19th.

What a summer. Prayers continue for all parts of you…and for the current journey. Thanks for all the posts.

I’m counting with you and praying for the stomach, the tongue, and your safe return! Hope you can enjoy the last 13 days.

Okay, I’ll pray for you. But I’m commenting to say that the Pepto-Bismol Dance Machine feature on their website has completely made my day.

don’t you hate that??? does it make your mouth taste all icky, too? the first time it ever turned my tongue black, i had no idea it was a potential side effect of pepto-bismol, and i spent an hour on webmd trying to figure out what sort of weird disease i might have. boo.
