The God/ess Party: Happy 25th Birthday to me!

Date April 13, 2005

I had to make a phone call to the secretary at the church I worked at for the past two years. She said, “I see you have a birthday coming up tomorrow - I hope you’re planning on celebrating big…” I just laughed. Umm, yah. Today is my 25th birthday, and in celebration of that, and in honor of feminist theologian Rosemary Radford Ruether, we’re having the First Annual PTS God/ess Party. We are encouraging everyone to come dressed as their favorite pagan deity, and so far I’ve heard that Zeus (well, that will be me), Hermes, Cupid, some gorgeous Musings, a Germanic/Nordic god, and Durga are going to be there. I’m looking forward to the evening, and I’ll be sure and post some pictures up soon. It’s a crazy week - the God/ess party tonight, then a Jimmy Eat World concert Thursday night (big props to Zach Lind for the hookup on tickets and backstage passes) and then I’m off to Atlanta again, for a fun weekend. I’m freaking out about school and I have no idea how I’m going to get everything done, but I’m having a hell of a time otherwise…

i would not be 25 again for all the money in the world…well may be then, cause just think what i could do…make poverty history, buy off the dissenters, promote a truly pomo agenda…as well as a bunch of shoes! (i love shoes)… so 25 again–ok –but only if it was ALL the money!
being over 40 is oh so much better!! you have lots to look forward to…
so what goddess are you going as? (so many goddesses, and only one party;)
    celebrate!
