I need to walk more
March 15, 2005

I went for a walk today. Realized I don’t have much work to do this week (well, homework…I have a TON of other work to do) and I wanted to smoke a clove, so a walk on a beautiful afternoon felt like the best way to spend an hour.

And it was. I need to walk more. To get out. To get away from my computer screen. To breathe in fresh air (although, I was smoking the clove, so I guess they cancel each other out…oh well). It was a gorgeous day, and felt so good to get out…

Adam,
Watch out for those cloves. They don’t seem addictive but they are sneaky. Right now I’m trying to quit before I go to Candler and become a poor seminarian and it’s much harder than it seemed that it would be. It started as an occasional treat and when it got up to one or two a day became just as insidious as any other tobacco habit. Just a word of caution. It was a gorgeous day though and they always have made a good excuse for me to get up and go outside for a while.
By the way, thanks for all the cool connections I find out about through your trips to the ATL. I emailed Troy about the emergent cohort and hope to meet with him and others when I get there in the fall.
Sorry to be such a downer about the cloves,
Anna

I agree, getting out and talking a walk is something you should do more often. Spring is coming to Sweden now so you can’t blaim the weather anymore.
