This is how I’m spending the next few hours tonight, tomorrow morning and then I have to face this during my exam tomorrow afternoon at 2.30pm. Okay, you Hebrew scholars out there. What do you think? Anyone want to take a stab at it?

“These are the names of the sons of Israel who went to Egypt.” Your one verb form is a Qal mp active participle with a definite article, & could be literally translated “the going ones.” It’s from the opening lines of Exodus, an abbreviated version of Gen. 46.8.
καὶ ἀπελθοῦσαι ταχὺ ἀπὸ τοῦ μνημείου μετὰ φόβου καὶ χαρᾶς μεγάλης ἔδραμον ἀπαγγεῖλαι τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ. 9καὶ ἰδοὺ Ἰησοῦς ὑπήντησεν αὐταῖς λέγων, Χαίρετε. αἱ δὲ προσελθοῦσαι ἐκράτησαν αὐτοῦ τοὺς πόδας καὶ προσεκύνησαν αὐτῷ.

I only got through Greek before I got booted from the elect by my candidacy committee - so I only get a contact high from my roommate’s Hebrew translations. He is a much more talented linguist than I, so I am glad to leave him the challenge. Glad it’s you, and not me…
I’m not sure, but I think it’s something like, “Do not lay with the animals of the field.” Or something like that. I’m pretty sure if you put that on your test, you’ll be fine.
They promised me at SFTS after two semesters of Hebrew that I’d be able to read Hebrew and that it would be very formative in my preaching and ministry. They lied. Welcome to the Presbyterian Church circa 1947. :)
