iPod Story

Date November 1, 2004

I haven’t posted this on the web yet, so be prepared. Everyone knows (I think) that I won a free iPod on FreeiPods.com - and it actually worked. I won the iPod and it was shipped to Chehalis, WA to my parents’ house. My mom held the iPod in her hand. It was the real deal. And then I wanted her to ship it to me. They were going to come and visit 2 weeks after she got it and she could have just brought it with her, but I wanted it RIGHT THEN! So they shipped it. 2 Day Priority Mail…with no insurance and no delivery confirmation and no tracking. I don’t blame them for that, but…

It’s now 5 weeks later and no iPod.

No iPod. Can you believe it? Some USPS employee is rocking out to my frickin’ iPod!! I really can’t believe it - and I know I don’t have people who would actually do FreeiPods.com deal again, but it just sucks so bad. My parents could have brought it with them when they came out but I wanted it shipped - and now it’s lost, forever. We’ve checked a ton of different places - all with no avail. It is lost forever. And that is my sob story for the day.

I weep with you my friend. Truly is a sad day when we can no longer trust the USPS. If you have not yet signed up for freeipods then go to my blog and click on my link. I’d appreciate any help.

Adam when I get mine I’ll share pictures with you, all though not as good as your own iPod, it could kinda be the same.

Sad indeed. You know, they sell those things at, like, some apple website or something…

sorry to hear your sob story…i’ve got one for you.

i have a memorial service today at 1. last night the girlfriend and i were up talking far too late, and we didn’t get anything resolved (funny how lack of sleep make it impossible to communicate). woke up this morning, she calls just to say hi, and we have that prolonged silence where you know you’re suppose to say something but have learned it’s better to keep your mouth shut. left that conversation feeling like an ass…not a good way to start the day.

so i get all dressed up in my one marry/bury suit drive to work and naturally…I HAVE A FLAT TIRE, in seattle rain, with my good clothes on, and a crappy attitude to begin with.

anyone else have sob stories for today?

    i’ll jump on…

saturday my cousin asked me to stay home and watch her two kids while she starred in a student film and went to a costume party. i agreed, and put my homework aside (it was really hard…) to take care of her 1 and almost 3 year old. it was an up and down day, filled with cooking, cleaning, diapering, and holding back screams.

when she finally came home, she told me about her night, and how she made out with a hottie in his z28 camaro.

    dammit. where’s my hottie in a z28?

sorry about the ipod adam. that sucks.

I went to a funeral this morning for a church friend who got married on Saturday. Her new husband died on Sunday. No kidding. It’s too sad. Top this one.

Yah, makes you realize there is more to this life than an iPod…that’s incredible.
