Today was our first official day of reading week – get that! A whole week to simply read and get caught up on everything before midterms. Praise Jesus! We’re going to be here for most of the week and then next Wednesday-Friday, we have a group of around 10 people or so who are going up to Holy Cross Monastery in New York. It will be a time of some great prayer and productive study time – way less distractions.
I’m about ready to head to bed but wanted to share some pictures from tonight. Today was a beautiful day. I slept in until noon, which was absolutely amazing. Katie and I are dating now, and I(we) are still trying to find that balance in our lives where we have time for homework, sleep and all the rest that life in seminary demands. So it was amazing to sleep in so much on a Saturday. We had a flag football game today against the one other junior team (all married folk) and we came away with a win (even though I dropped a catch in the endzone…damn!) – it was a great game though. Ran some errands with Dean & Josh this afternoon and then went to see I Heart Huckabees. Umm, yah. Let’s just say it was an ‘interesting’ movie. Not one I’d see again probably, but…it was okay. Some pretty funny parts; others where we were just like…”Umm, yah. Okay.” Afterwards, Dean, Josh, Dan and I went out to Joe Canal’s and picked up some alcohol and came back to my room, hung out, watched baseball and SNL and drank. I picked up some Captain Morgan’s Rum and we had beer, rum & cokes and some B&B (an absolutely beautiful sipping liqueur). After about four rum & cokes, you can definitely feel it (just in case you were wondering). We took some Josh-inspired shaky-face shots and wanted to share them with you. Photos are below. This week I’m planning on getting together some topics that I want to discuss here on pomomusings. So…no more cafeteria posts (I’m pretty sure I’m serious this time Tony J.) – and hopefully some more exciting stuff. We’ll see what I can come up with. Anyway, enjoy the pictures…
