That was the theme of last night’s 2nd Brown party. This was my first seminary party, and it wasn’t half bad. Not that I had much ‘party experience’ at Whitworth to compare it to, but it was pretty good. A great turn-out and each room had a different theme to it (Mexican, VIP Lounge, Dance room, Sports room with the Miller Lights in cans, etc). That’s me and Zach above. He instructed me on the cool way to hold my beer-in-a-can so that it would feel like it was in a mug or something. I don’t care what anyone says…the stuff in a can? It’s pretty awful. Anyway, it was a good night, and afterwards, some folk meandered down to the D-Bar to get their ‘inner-groove-thangs’ (as I like to refer to them) on. It’s pretty hard for me to release the inner-groove-thang, but every now and then, it comes out…okay, now it’s time for some serious studying…

jenny smith’s friend kathryn here. i’ve gotta say, i never imagined seminary would be such a kick in the pants, let alone be full of seemingly groovy people like yourself. enjoy your semester. i’ll see you all in december.
never had such a party at Fuller…i’m jealous. have fun.
I’m getting seriously jealous here. We can’t even talk about beer at the baptist seminary out here in Oregon. And booze in your room? You’d get kicked out of school for that at every college/uni I’ve attended! I might have to give this Presby seminary thing a little more though… Maybe I’ll come join you out there for my 3rd year. :)
why was the party called the 2nd Brown party? i’m actually coming up in about a month to look at the ThM at Princeton Sem.
I woudn’t say the party was that great if you had to drink Miller Light. Sorry to you. Get some real beer.
Thanks for the comment, I put it up on my site. I’m sure you’ll have pics of your new pod when it comes. Hopefully I’ll get one too.
Myles, the party was located on the 2nd floor of Brown Hall (one of the 3 main dorms on campus). Yah bro, I’m with you on the Miller Lite. I’m really not a fan…
Martin Luther may have been able to prove that beer is better than wine, but certainly not Miller light? What kind of a seminary is that Princeton? Is there no culture in our universities any longer?
i just found your blog andjust wanted to say I like what you’ve got going. I’ll be a more frequent visiter forsure.
Adam, I hate to beat a dead horse. But, seriously, the Miller Lite?! God gave us food drink to not only nourish our bodies, but for enjoyment and to make the heart glad. I’m afraid that Miller Lite accomplishes neither. I know that you know better. But you’re not in college anymore; you’re in seminary. At the very least, you should make a general rule to not drink out of cans anymore. I’m not sure what you can get up the Princeton area, but I highly recommend any of the New Belgium brews (of Fat Tire fame). Please make us all proud and post another pic of you drinking some real beer.
Not everyone had such poor choices… I enjoyed my Guinness draught very much thank you! Adam just didn’t have the connections apparently.
