I’m sitting on my new wicker rocking-chair I picked up today at the Red, White & Blue thrift store. Today was a pretty good day. I know some of you want to see pics of the room, but I’m going to save that for when I’m satisfied with its decor. I had the wonderful help of 10-12 PTS students who unloaded my car for me this morning, I didn’t move a thing…very, very cool. I was wearing my “Beer: Proof that God Loves Us” shirt and immediately had many people telling me that they loved my shirt. Later, while walking across campus, a maintenance van came slowly behind me; the guy rolled the window down and said, “Dude….love the shirt…you’re telling me!” And while I was at the Red, White & Blue, a woman who held the door open for me, commented on it as well.
I went looking for a couch, but came back with a $3 bookshelf, $7 coffeetable and a $14 wicker rocking-chair, which is really quite comfortable. I drove around the greater Princeton area (you go from township to township without really knowing it…) and got a chance to get a bit more familiar with the area. Grabbed lunch at a Wawa, for the first time ever. I walked in, and was a little irritated after standing there for awhile, that no one was asking me what I wanted…there I was…but nothing. After getting more irritated, I noticed that everyone was just walking in front of me to type in their order on the computer consoles….”oooh” I thought, we surely didn’t have *those* in Idaho.
Andrew, Evan (17 months old) & I drove up to Newark to pick up Josh Cleveland, and I got to entertain all the way home. It was going well until we ran out of snacks and fun toys. So, when in doubt, let the cute little guy grab your beard and yank (HARD!) or kick your head w/his shoe. It works wonders…We came back, picked up our friend Abby and Andrew’s family and all went to Chevys for dinner. Now I’m back in my room…
Highlights of my day
- Making my bed (it’s going to be so comfy!!)
- Hemming my drape
- Making a drape and having people ask me, “What the heck are you doing?”
- Fishtailing in Princeton with my roof-top carrier full of my stuff
- Hearing Evan be a dolphin, seeing his puckered-up face when he tastes lemon and feeling his cute little shoed-foot kick me on the head while he says “BOOOM”

glad you made it safely. i think it’s quite resourceful of you to make your own drapes! can’t wait to see the pictures.
Wawa rules.
Adam,
Welcome to Princeton! I’m at home right now chilling for a few more days until the fall starts. I made it through summer Greek - at the halfway point I wasn’t sure this was for me, but it all came together the last couple of weeks. I’ll be at the Saturday cookout with the whole family. Look for the grey-haired bearded guy with a wonderful wife and three boys who are just too cute to be related to me.
Good to have you here. There are a lot of Whitworth people here at PTS. Peace - and sign up for your SC101 section ASAP.

Congrats on Princeton, man. I hope that Duke is in my future…nice shirt. Where’d you get it?
Congratulations! And welcome to Princeton. I pray God’s blessings on you as you begin. Genuflect before Erdman Hall for me (if it’s still standing). Great to have had a brief visit with you at Jordo and Susan’s wedding. I’m missing them terribly.
Thanks for all your well-wishes…and thoughts. Mike, I got the “BEER” shirt in a pub in Madison, Wisconsin.
