Chicago with Tony
August 4, 2004

Tony and I had a great few days in Chicago - we ate lunch a few times in the Wicker Park area (Feast & Cafe de Luca), two dinners in Boytown (Melrose and Mia Francescas) and walked and drove around a lot of Chicago. We did some shopping on Michigan Ave., and saw The Village.

On Tuesday we checked out the Skin Tight Installation at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art (and we saw many other interesting pieces, including a video-piece of a woman sucking on her toe for 10 straight minutes), went to the Beach and hung out at Roscoe’s bar in Boytown Tuesday night (where Adam got “asked” about by two different guys, which gave us some good entertainment for the evening.

It was fun to meet some new people, including Nanette Sawyer, pastor of Wicker Park Grace, a new church development in the Wicker Park area of Chicago. Tony, Nanette and I had a wonderful lunch and conversation together. It was a great few days, and I enjoyed seeing some of Tony’s life in Chicago and getting to spend some more time with him.
