Emergent Convention: Emerging Women’s Leadership Initiative Breakfast

Thank you to the team of leaders who put this wonderful event together. There was a large group of men there, and they were encouraged to listen first, before speaking. Something that we should try in many other contexts as well. I was encouraged to hear women speaking, moved when I saw women crying, grateful that there was honesty in the room, joy, pain, etc. I know there is much much much more to do. Simply because we had many more women speakers this year…that doesn’t mean a *whole* lot. There is much more to do. We are on the journey - the road ahead and the road is not going to be busy, but it’s incredibly important. I am thankful to be able to know Jen Lemen, and pray that God will continue to bless the ministry of the Emerging Women Leaders and the conversations they will be hosting.
