Emergent Convention: McLaren Cohort

Also spent this evening with McLaren and 15 others in a Cohort group. Talked more about the idea of the metanarrative, talked about theological differences in churches, how churches decide they are going to be unified (will they be unified by love? doctrinal statements? mission? ethics?), and spiritual disciplines. It’s always interesting to see these speakers (esp. the Godfather, as Jen Lemen likes to teasingly call McLaren) in a smaller group setting - I really enjoyed the time with Brian and we have 2 more evenings with him. More later - for now, it’s off to bed now…

Im a bit envious, although I shouldnt be. I got to be in a small q and a session with Brian last weekend at off the map. Always gives me great things to think about…..
