I saw a window sticker of a pro america road philosopher espousing that age old Christian nation adage, “If you don’t love it, leave it!” Warms the heart, don’t it? Makes you believe the author reads the paper everyday, and then does all the necessary critical thinking, and then discusses at length with friends, and then loses all previous thought as they pour a nice frosty mug of Rush Limbaugh soda and drink deep.

Why don’t you try praying for our leaders, our nation, and our soldiers, who defend your right to rant, instead of acting holier than thou?

Yup, not even going there with you Chris.

Going where? Aren’t we commanded to pray for our leaders? The knee-jerk reaction is that I am an advocate of the “christian right”. I simply advocate biblical truth. This is what happens when you believe in an “activist” gospel. John 18:36-38. Someday the ec may dump the “antithesis is always right” stance.

Acting holier than thou? I don’t get that. Yes, we are commanded to pray for our leaders…and I probably don’t do that well enough. But what I see missing from your comment on my post is any comment, or reaction of compassion for the Iraqis, or condemnation of Americans misusing a power that was given them. And maybe it’s there. But you were more quick to point out what you didn’t like about my post, rather than agreeing with a horrific event…

I am just pointing out the tendency of those who adhere to the pomo doctrine, of rejecting everything that is “perceived” as modernist, therefore we say the opposite and do the opposite, and in general give no respect to those we believe are against us. Don’t read something into my comment that isn’t there. Jesus died for all,the Iraqis and the American soldiers. I never said that he didn’t. I do not condone the abuse of any human being, regardless of race, creed or political affiliations. Where is your compassion for the Berg family or for the families of those who whose bodies were mutilated and dragged through the streets? It is my observation that the ec is more about selectivism and revisionism, and more about the promoting social and political philosophies, than the Kingdom of GOD,which actually has nothing to do with the aforementioned agendas.
