Debt-Cancellation in Wendell
March 22, 2004
I preached yesterday on Deuteronomy 15.1-11 and it went really well. I felt very comfortable up front, and I think I owe much of that to my newly-christened preaching stool. The sermon went really well and while I did use notes, I didn’t need them much. We talked about the practice of debt-cancellation in the Sabbatical Year and how that translates to the need to cancel debts (forgive others) here in our own community in Wendell. I have yet to listen to the tape I made of the sermon, but hopefully I spoke a little slower and said less “ums” this time (which I think I did). For any who are interested, here are my sermon notes.
