Unexpected Life Change

I walked into Target this evening feeling pretty normal. I walked out a changed man.
As the girl at the jewelry counter worked on my favorite [only] 6.5 yr old watch, she said, “I have good news and bad news.” The good news was that I didn’t need a new battery. Bad news was that a needed a new watch. After 6.5 yrs of trusty time-telling, he’d given up. I don’t really know how to deal with it. It’s pretty funny. It’s just a watch. But as I walked out of Target this evening, something was different. I felt new. Clean. Redeemed. Healed. There was definitely something different about me now. A new life….a new future…
