A friend sent me a note a few days ago [along with The Landry News, by the same author as Frindle]. It was a quote by Augustine:
We stand in awe of the ocean,
The thunderstorm
The sunset,
The Mountains.
But we pass by
A human being
Without notice
Even though
The person
Is God’s most magnificent Creation.
Let us not pass by God’s most wonderful Creations, like the Priest or the Levite - but let us treat others as the Samaritan, let us view others through God’s eyes.

Good words, cleave–thanks.
Adam: I would love to know how to view others through God’s eyes….? This suggestion seems impossible to me….to say we can see through God’s eyes is to say that we have God’s eyes….perhaps even to say that we are God?
