I was up till 1.30am last night, writing, chatting with friends, doing random stuff. So, I got to bed by around 1.45am.
I woke up at 7am, feeling pretty good, but decided to sleep more (not realizing it was Sunday). At 9.43am (Sunday School starts at 9.45 – I teach high school Sunday School), my phone rang and it was one of my high schoolers: “Dude, where are you?”
Oh crap.
So, I was out of the house, showered and actually got to the church by 10.01am (not bad considering it takes normal people about 20 minutes to just drive to Wendell from Hagerman). I walked in, and pretty soon I realize I should have just stayed in bed. I interviewed one of my 6th grade girls for our youth group newsletter, and put that in, with her picture, but I put her sister’s name beside her picture. Totally screwed up (now I’m going to try and play it off and do it again next time with some other siblings…). And then one of my favorite kids says, “Dude, what are you wearing?!? You look like a total dork!” (My shirt was tucked in – I don’t normally tuck in my shirt). And then the video wouldn’t work for about 10 minutes, so we started it late, and there was more left than I thought, so Sunday School went right up till 11am, and the kids got out, and my pastor had already started worship, and his daughter was leading worship and wasn’t up front yet.
Why didn’t my mom give me an alarm clock for Christmas? Hmmm.
