Y2K & Eagle

Date December 5, 2003

Had a great day today - met with Fr Patrick, my Orthodox priest friend. Always a good time with him. Then was off to meet with a few other Presbyterian youth pastors and plan a big winter retreat we’re going to do. It’s going to be very good and great for the kids to get together with others in their Presbytery and others from different churches. Now I am off to Eagle, ID for an Allelon Regional Conference for Church Planters. Hmm, I’m not a church planter, but got invited by Eric. Should be a great evening and day tomorrow.

Wanted to share with you the great deal I got at the Christian Bookstore this afternoon. For only $1, I picked up Jerry Falwell’s “Y2K: A Christian’s Survival Guide to the Millennium Bug.” Should be awesome…

That’s pretty cool that you are friends with an Orthodox priest….What parish is Fr. Patrick from?

It’ll land you a handsome price on eBay a couple of decades from now. :D

It’s not a book — it’s a video! Even better! We watched about 10 minutes of it up in Eagle (between The Agony and the Ecstacy, and Bruce Almighty). Falwell is classic! And he was so prepared — this video series (and it does have a 3-part series on it) came out 16 months prior to Y2K!
