Rearranging JAVA

Date December 4, 2003

Had a good day today. Spent time talking with my pastor about plans for seminary, etc. Looks like May 31st is when my time at Wendell will come to an end. Saw some kids at lunch at the high school. Spent time playing guitar with a good friend in Twin Falls. Then had some dinner at JAVA. I was there when they were wanting to rearrange the place - so, they started asking for my thoughts. Within about 15 minutes, there were four of us who were moving plants (they have a TON of plants), couches, tables, chair, gumball machines, etc., all over the place, giving JAVA a whole new look and feel. It was also fun just engaging with a few of the other regulars - we always see each other there, but rarely interact. So that was great. Above is the newly-designed JAVA. A very pleasant evening. And now, back home. I will do some blogging, surfing, emailing and reading. I just got William Mounce’s Basics of Biblical Greek in the mail today. Thought it couldn’t hurt to at least start preparing for Greek.

    Bro.

You need to open a coffee shop yourself. A low-key PoMo place. I’d come. Maybe we can go in on it together.

Really, it sounds like Java gets most of its earnings from your hard-earned cash from UPC. Maybe they should have a direct deposit from UPC to Java itself. Oh, the tithes of your flock going towards your caffeine addiction. Sounds good.

I’m writing too much on this dang thing of yours these days.

    Much Love
    Josh

Use the coffee shop to finance the church. Let the place be a daily gathering site for the body of Christ just as your blog is.

Call it The Blog and the Bod.
