Public Confession
November 26, 2003

I have had this on my chest for the past few weeks — something I felt needed to be shared with my loyal blog friends. It is incredibly hard to be this vulnerable with all of you, but I feel this is the next step needed to continue developing our blog friendship.
I, Adam Cleaveland, have an addiction.
Last January, I purchased a new cell phone with USCellular. For practically every day since then, I have played Snake. It is a serious addiction. I really can’t remember a day that has gone by that I didn’t play Snake. I know this is a serious issue. But, I am good at it. Like, really good. I put my HIGH SCORE online so you couldn’t say “Yah, right…” and it is on the highest level. Has anyone beat score of 2335 before?
I really just don’t know what to do with myself. I want to stop. But every time I sit down, with nothing to do, I bust out my little Nokia and start playing. If anyone knows where I might find some help with this issue - please let me know.

That is incredibly funny, although I realize you were being somewhat serious *raises eyebrow* I think. If you feel like it’s taking away from other areas in your life then maybe you do have some issues…otherwise play on my friend…play on. haha

Bro.
Don’t try to play it off as though you do not have an addiction. I know you do. Denial…tisk tisk.
Peace.

Hm. I used to be addicted to Snake, but I suck at games. My highest score is a whopping 467!! lol. I played every night before going to sleep for a very long time! Then I got a new phone and it didn’t have Snake. However, it had 5 Stones, or whatever it is called. I quickly got addicted to that one and did much better than Snake. Then I lost that phone. I reactivated Snake phone but have since lost interest.
Congratulations on your engagement.
