Thank you for your prayers for my sermon this morning. Preaching in Wendell went very well - both services. I had a gentleman come up to me after the first service (I think there were 8 people there) and he said he wished he could have interjected comments during my sermon - because it was really making him think. He wants to use my sermon as a springboard for a dialogue about culture issues for their Adult Sunday School.
I received many comments after the 2nd service. One woman who I know fairly well came up to me and said, “I feel a little guilty for saying this, but today is one of the first times in a long time that I’ve hung on every word of a sermon. Thank you.” People were very encouraging - and two men who I was a bit nervous about talking to afterwards (because I didn’t know how they were going to take what I said) came up to me afterwards and we had a great conversation. I really enjoyed preaching - nervous at first, but then as soon as I started sharing, no problem. So, thanks for the prayers. If you want to check out my sermon notes, click here.

good to hear, man!
Hrmm. So, why _couldn’t_ he interject comments during your sermon?
great stuff…was wondering how it was going. Well done.
brian, i would have loved it if he would have - but i was preaching in a presbyterian church where people “just don’t do that” (at least, that’s the idea they’ve grown up with). i was joking with my youth a few months ago and offered someone $5 to stand up and ask the pastor a question during his sermon.
i thought it was a joke.
my kid ryan didn’t. he did it. it was awesome.
YOU CANNOT CENSOR ME!!!
See, people DO still visit your site and comment … despite you slacking off and not blogging! ; )
