Future Plans Solidifying…

I spent Friday night up in Island Park, ID (about 20 miles from Yellowstone) with some youth from our Presbytery. An absolutely beautiful drive (long, but beautiful) up to our fall Presbytery-wide youth retreat. A fun group of kids and adults. I had some great conversations with 2 Princeton graduates who are currently pastors. They really encouraged me to continue looking into Princeton and San Francisco Theological Seminary.
I met today with the Personnel Committee and shared my thoughts concerning my future. While no official decision has been made. I am definitely thinking that seminary is where God is calling me. I am feeling very good about Princeton. As of right now, I’m thinking that I’ll apply to and visit Princeton, San Francisco and Pittsburgh seminaries.

alas…it seems the moving on is in the air. there is a host of reasons, none bitter, but i will be moving on from riverside umc to something else in january. i don’t know what yet, but cyndi and i feel it is good timing and we feel peace about. there is nervousness for the future, but the peace overwhelms any anxiety. here’s to moving on.
